Pau Santo is a heavy, aromatic hardwood from South America with rich golden-brown to reddish-brown tones and natural dark streaking. The wood has a fine, smooth feel and a mostly straight grain with occasional interlocking, which makes it well suited for crafting pot call strikers. In terms of striker use and sound characteristics, it performs very similarly to snakewood.
