This custom owl call was meticulously handmade by James Harrison and crafted from premium stabilized and dyed black ash burl, showcasing both exceptional performance and striking visual character. The stabilization process enhances durability while preserving the intricate grain patterns unique to black ash burl, and the deep, dyed tones highlight its natural complexity. This call was shaped, tuned, and finished by hand, resulting in a piece that is as functional as it is beautiful. Designed to produce crisp, realistic owl vocalizations with excellent volume and tonal clarity, it serves equally well as a serious hunting tool and a collector-grade work of art.
 
James Harrison is a highly decorated champion caller and respected call maker, widely known for producing some of the finest custom calls in the industry. I had the opportunity to hunt with several of his custom-built owl hooters last spring, and after a successful hunt, the call used was officially retired and set aside to eventually be offered to the public.
